Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival

Opens tonight! See you there? http://asianfilmfestla.org/2010/

Toyota Presents: Cinema Musica!

Next Tuesday night at the Downtown Independent, my music video program returns in its 4th year at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. This is usually quite the popular event with a lot of artists in attendance, so I’d recommend getting a hold of your tickets sooner than later, cuz’ it WILL sell out. There will be an afterparty on the rooftop (for badgeholders only) and most likely one at Origami or another nearby joint! Come enjoy some music videos on the big screen and then mingle for a bit! Viva la Cinema Musica!

One of my fave vids from last year’s program:

Goodbye, Taipei. Hello, LA Asian Pacific Film Fest!

So I just got back to LA from Taipei three nights ago. Definitely dealing with some jet lag. Hopefully, I’ll be back to normal by next week as that’s when the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival begins! And guess what? The opening night film is none other than AU REVOIR, TAIPEI! How ironic is that?

Anyway, the festival is always a good time and opening night is usually THE night to go to. Check out the festival’s site for more info! http://asianfilmfestla.org/2010/

Ktown Cowboys World Premiere

It’s going down May 1st at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood!

This should be interesting… a web series presented as a feature length exclusively by the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. Directed by Daniel “DPD” Park who co-wrote the script with Danny Cho. Produced by some awesome ladies and starring a crapload of my friends. I think you’ll also get a glimpse of what it looks like when I’m drunk… unless they cut it out. Haha.

Michelle Phan x 1040

Dope! #1 most subscribed makeup artist guru on YouTube, Michelle Phan talks about 1040 in a recent vlog:

The official world premiere of 1040 is going down tomorrow night at opening night of the City of the Angels Film Festival!!! You can still purchase tix online, but sale ends soon! http://caff.eventbrite.com

Sean of Jinusean x 1040

Ok, one week ’til the official world premiere of 1040! Yes, yes. It’s gonna be off the hook. Opening night at City of the Angels. Get your tickets online! Yet another event in LA that I can’t believe I’m missing out on.

1040

The world premiere is going down on March 12, 2010 at opening night of the City of the Angels Film Festival: http://1040movie.com/1040-world-premiere

I thought I was gonna be back for the premiere, but it seems that I’m in the process of my own 1040 adventure! For now, I’ll just say that God has been so good… He’s totally moving in Asia… and I can’t wait to share “1040 Part 2 Grace Su Edition” with y’all. Haha.

Anyway, here’s the teaser for 1040:

I hope those of you who watch it will get something out of it, whether you’re Christian or not! Be Blessed :]

This Thursday… 3-in-1!

That is, three events in one night! If you’re in LA, these are the events to be at:

Ktown Cowboys Fundraiser at Cafe Bleu

http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=423538320626
This is a fundraiser for a fun webisodic/film project I had a small role in. If you guys go, you’ll get a sneak peek at the first episode. Should be good! Lots of talented people involved and they can definitely use the support to finish the project!

Open Mic hosted by Aiko Tanaka at Tribal Cafe

http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=259642238567
I just saw Aiko kill it at the Comedy Store last week. She’ll be hosting these open mics once a month… so if you’re a stage performer of any sort, get your butt over there! Or if you just enjoy live performance, be sure to check this out.

Eliot Chang’s FREE Show at the Laugh Factory

http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=291621911423
Comedy shows are usually pretty expensive when you add everything together: parking/valet, admission, 2 drink minimum, etc… but you can get into this one for FREE and Eliot is freakin’ hilarious. Have you seen him throw imaginary babies across the room? Oh man…

If I weren’t on a plane to Taiwan, I’d totally hit up every single event!
