The good people at Audrey Magazine have not only allowed for me to hook it up with a 20% discount to Audrey’s Fashion Night Out 2011 (coupon code: PEACHIES), but they’ve also given me a pair of General Admission tickets ($100 value) to give to whomever I please! Well, you have to be over 21 years old and be able to make it to the event in Los Angeles to qualify. Sooo… let’s make this fun!

HELP ME WITH MY OUTFIT FOR THE EVENING!

Last year, I wore black (pictured on the very right). This year, I want to try to go outside of my comfort zone. BUT it must be something that I’ll be able to pick up at a local retailer, budget-friendly cuz’ I ain’t a baller here, and red carpet ready! I have NO fashion sense and I REALLY need help! Lol. So send me a link to a dress/outfit online or email/tweet me a photo and tell me where I can buy the outfit! If I don’t actually like any of the choices, I’ll pick the funniest one! Yay-yuh. Angry Asian Man‘s 10 year anniversary party was super fun. It was crazy packed, too! There were so many people I wanted to catch up with, but it was just impossible with so many awesome people in one room! Anyway, around midnight, I got to introduce a very special project that Phil Yu’s wife aka angryplus1 asked me to help her with….

I’m actually quite proud of how this turned out and I’m really glad Phil enjoyed it!

P.S. – For those of you who were there and caught my joke about being mistaken for Ali Wong, here’s a photo of Ali that a bunch of my friends thought was of me. Haha. I can actually see the resemblance…

My website has been restored! I hadn’t been able to login to blog for the last month cuz’ someone had hacked my site in December. I just so happened to try today and it worked (obviously). Woohoo. I’m guessing my web hosting company was able to restore my site from a backup (I had put in a request, but hadn’t heard anything back from them). I almost thought I’d have to start completely anew… PHEW!!!

Anyway, there’s a lot of stuff I’ve been wanting to blog about… there are also a lot of video blogs I still need to edit! Can’t believe it’s already near the end of January. 2011!!! So much to do, so little time! Who else feels this way?

A lot. For life, for family, for friends, for food, for love. Even the bad stuff. With all the things that could make me sad in this world, I remember that everything physical is fleeting. In what seems to be a hopeless world, there is still hope. We live and learn. We stumble and fall. We get up. We grow. I’m thankful for every hurt and pain that I’ve ever gone through and am going through, but I am more thankful for what God is doing, how He has redeemed and will redeem, and for His unfailing love. He’s the one who’ll get us through the darkness. He’s the reason why I have joy in my life and He is the only one who is ALWAYS there. God Bless you all and Happy Thanksgiving~ my prayer for you is that you would know that there’s ALWAYS something to be thankful for… everyday. Just count all your blessings. Even the small ones. It starts with being faithful with very little :]

“Hope in a dark place.” This is a photo from my Bangkok trip earlier this year. I was in Nana, a red light district, to do some research on sex trafficking. Saw a lot of dark things while I was there. One morning while prayer walking, I spotted this heart on the sidewalk. Had to take a picture of it.

My First Concert Ever

Was LXD x GLEE Live in Concert at the Gibson Amphitheatre last Friday night… and it was awesome.

Ok, I’m not a REAL Gleek, cuz’… I’d never watched a full episode of GLEE until the day of the concert. I decided I should probably get familiar with the show… so thank God for Hulu, I was able to watch 2 episodes before the show!

And yes, this was my FIRST real concert EVER. I mean, I’ve been to tons of live music events or intimate shows at small venues or even Kollaboration at the Orpheum, but this was my first large scale mainstream concert… and wow, I must go to more!!! I know, I know. I’m a late bloomer… and maybe just not that trendy…

*Drool*… LXD was sick. Can’t wait to see the webisodes…

The live GLEE numbers were amazing. I wish we were sitting closer:

It was also cool seeing Harry Shum, Jr. in action after meeting him at the LA Asian Pacific Film Fest! Omg, he can DANCE. I think I have a crush now… puahaha ;P

BlackBerry or Droid?

Ok, I’ve posed this question before and the reason why I’m not considering an iPhone is cuz’ I want a physical keypad. The last time I asked the question, I was already leaning towards just getting a BlackBerry again and many agreed. However, after testing out a friend’s Droid… I kinda changed my mind. These are the pros and cons that I’m weighing:

BlackBerry
Pros: QWERTY keypad and BBM
Cons: archaic web browser (well, especially the one on my 2-year old Curve… and plus I haven’t updated the software…)

Droid
Pros: in a way, it’s like having the best of both iPhone and BlackBerry… diggin’ that there’s a slide out keypad
Cons: no BBM (lol)

Hmm… soo… is BBM a good enough reason to stick with BlackBerry? Puahaha. What I REALLY want is a good phone for email and text messaging (and maybe blogging). What are your thoughts?
