"Funemployed"

The series begins! From Wong Fu Productions and KevJumba:

The first thing that popped into my head as I was watching episode 1 was, “DANG, that’s some old school FM!!!” Hahaha. In episode 2, you’ll spot hottie Lisa Kim Fleming along with YouTubers Kina Grannis and Chester See. New episodes every Tuesday and Friday! Check out WongFuProductions.com for updates or for commentary and bloopers.

"LOST" x "Mind Heist"

So I’m kinda obsessed with Zack Hemsey’s “Mind Heist” right now… and I happened to find this pretty epic unofficial “LOST” trailer that was cut to the cue. Gave me chills… maybe even more so than the Inception trailer! I def gotta see the last season of “LOST” now…

Music Video Monday

Paul Jisung Kim covers Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida”

Lumen Productions presents Feats In Inches’ “No Use Pretending (Whoa)”

This one is just silly. Just Kidding Films does the “Asian Lady Robot”…

"Ktown Cowboys" – Episode 4

The adventure continues…

"Ktown Cowboys" Episode 3

Alright, I’m gonna throw in a little bit of criticism here… I’m starting to think this was a lot better watching it as a feature. Things are still only just warming up. So far I can’t say these have been very strong stand alone pieces and seems like the biggest complaint is that they’re too short (though they are all over 6 minutes, which IMO is too long for YouTube). With that said, if we were comparing this to watching a TV show once a week vs. renting the entire season on DVD, I’d prob just wait for all webisodes to drop so that I could watch them back to back. By no means does this mean it sucks… it’s GREAT as a whole, so keep watching! :]

Btw, if you’re in the LA area, you can actually see the feature length version on June 8th at the brand new CGV Theaters in K-town!

Wong Fu Productions x David Choi’s "That Girl"

This is a sweet video and it really shows how the Wong Fu guys have matured as music video makers. I’ve seen a handful of their past MVs and well, this one is just at another level. Beautifully done. And David Choi, you make me wanna cry and smile all at the same time.

You can support David by buying this single or his new album “By My Side” from iTunes or his online store.

Happy Birthday, YouTube!

I found this vid of Jon M. Chu’s “YouTube Story” to be quite inspiring…

"Ktown Cowboys" Episode 2

Winner of the 2010 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival Special Jury Award in the Narrative category for “Best First Feature!” Here’s a lil’ video I captured of Daniel “DPD” Park’s acceptance speech (shot w/ my ghetto digital camera):

"Ktown Cowboys" Episode 1

is now online!

5 out of 7 of the webisodes actually premiered as a feature-length at a sold out screening at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival this past Saturday. ‘Twas definitely a good night for “Ktown Cowboys” with lots of buzz.

Now that the first episode has been released online, expect to see the rest in the coming weeks. If you like it, please comment, subscribe, favorite, and share!

365 Days of Love

Just learned about my pastor, Jaeson Ma’s 2010 New Year’s resolution. It’s pretty cool. His goal is to commit one act of kindness each day of this year. He explains it on his blog and in this video:

I think any simple gesture of Love can go a long way. So far he’s bought fruit for strangers on the street, prayed and prophesied over them, told his mom how much he loves and appreciates her, and fed starving immigrant workers in front of Home Depot. He’ll be blogging daily of his encounters.

I’m definitely excited to see what God’s gonna do through Jaeson this year!
